Recreation Therapist/Activity Coordinator (One Year Intern Position)

Position Title: Recreation Therapist/Activity Coordinator (One Year Intern Position)
Location: Cochrane, ON

$21.56/hr @ 35 hrs/week

 

Closing Date: Friday November 15, 2019


Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • To develop, implement, facilitate, schedule and evaluate activities that fulfill the social & intellectual needs and interests of the senior residents in the Cadence Residence.
  • Activities will be engaging and will promote the health and well being of all residents.
  • As part of a team, plan, lead, monitor, analyze and report on the outcomes of newly developed programs and activities.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

 

  • Graduate from one of these programs: recreation therapy, developmental services, social work, BA in psychology or social work.
  • University or college graduate who has graduated within the last three years from an accredited college or university. 
  • The candidate must be a graduate of a post-secondary degree or diploma program. 
  • The position will be a first full-time employment in the candidate’s field of study.
