Position Title: Full Time Accounts Clerk – Finance
Location: Timmins, ON
Closing Date: August 11, 2022
- Cost coding, entering invoices and receipts, processing payments in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
- Monitoring manual cheques, cancelled cheques and cancelled DBDs, and performing DBD recalls
- Preparing daily and monthly SAMS cheque and EFT runs
- Maintaining customer and vendor files, related correspondence and verifying payment information
- Downloading EFT and SAMS reports
- Preparing reports, compiling data, and monthly, year-to-date and quarterly reports
- Assisting in reconciliation of sub-ledgers and general ledger accounts
- Assisting in posting and review of client expenses, repayments and reimbursements
- Participating in preparation of monthly subsidy reports and supporting documentation
- Preparing bank deposits and monthly reconciliations, maintaining PDC and payment records
- Preparing bank reconciliations
- Assisting in preparation and entry of general journal entries
- Assisting in account reconciliation and analysis
- Providing support/back-up to other Accounts Clerks as required
- Minimum of 2-year College Diploma in Business Administration or Accounting or a combination of education and experience acceptable to the employer
- Knowledge of general accounting processes
- Applicable experience within an automated accounting environment that includes ACCPAC, SAMS and Yardi
- Knowledge of government finance
- Proficient spreadsheet and word processing skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Bilingualism in accordance with the CDSSAB French Language Services policy
