Full Time Administration Clerk - Housing (Kapuskasing)

Position Title: Full Time Administration Clerk - Housing (Temporary 2 years)
Location: Kapuskasing, ON


Closing Date: September 17, 2021

Under the general direction of the Housing Services Area Manager, this position provides secretarial, accounts payable/receivable and administrative services.




  • Serve as a group leader for administration service activities within office.
  • Responsible for financial and administrative systems for 2 Private Special Needs Non Profit Portfolios and 1 Municipal Non Profit Portfolio.
  • Serve as a Liaison between office and internal CDSSAB departments, Credit Bureau and the Ontario Rental Housing Tribunal and 3 Non Profit Housing Portfolios.
  • Process rent refund, rent deposits, tenant evictions.
  • Assistance to ensure continuous, efficient process for administrative services.
  • Prepare monthly summary of all rent transactions.
  • Use of property management software.
  • Post Accounts Payable and Accounts receivable transactions to Sub ledger.
  • Facilitate/refer on-site property management user issues. 
  • Administering investment in affordable housing program.




  • Post secondary diploma in office/business administration or a combination of education and experience acceptable to the employer.
  • Experience in a property management environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills are required to communicate with staff, landlords, and clients.
  • Ability to operate / learn applied computerized systems, report requirements, editing and updating, verifying information correct.
  • Proficient with applied office information technology systems including MS Office Suite applications, Windows based applications, and Browser based applications.
  • Must be self-motivated, energetic, well organized, with the ability to manage a varied time sensitive workload.
  • Good interpersonal skills are required to communicate effectively / diplomatically with clients, staff, general public and contractors.
  • Criminal Record Search.
  • Bilingualism in accordance with the French Language Services policy.
